重要研究成果
陳所長介甫教授為台灣從事中藥研究最具代表的工作者之一。其最主要工作為對中藥吳茱萸之一連串有關化學成份、藥物動力學及藥效學之研究，而自其研究成果如發現吳茱萸中含升血壓及降血壓成份，其降血壓成份對在血管平滑肌及內皮細胞、細胞內之調控機制不同，但藥理結果一致，對不同組織一氧化氮之調控，如內皮細胞為激之，但對吞噬細胞則抑制之，陳介甫之研究不但應用最新醫學研究方法，且中醫藥理論、陰陽五行之觀念一直貫穿其中。
陳教授除從事吳茱萸之藥效成份及藥理學研究，亦從事中藥對心血管系統、中樞神經系統作用之研究，及中藥藥效成份藥物動力學之研究。
自1971年至2014年共發表研究論文463篇，大部份刊載於國際性學術期刊。
2000年，以對中藥吳茱萸之研究成果，而獲得第四屆立夫中醫藥學術獎。
其他有關中醫藥發展之貢獻
陳介甫教授為台灣推動及從事中醫藥研究最重要工作者之一。在陽明醫學院服務期間(1975-1988)，使陽明醫學院之藥理研究所成為中藥研究之重要據點。並因其傑出學術領導能力，於1988年被教育部聘任為國立中國醫藥研究所所長，而完成該所組織法之通過，興建新研究場所，爭取到國家藥園用地，並大力提升該所研究能力及水準，而成為台灣中醫藥研究之代表單位，同時協助陽明醫學院傳統醫藥研究所及生物藥學研究所之成立。他推動中醫藥研究之合作對象遍及美國、加拿大、哥斯大黎加、日本、香港及中國大陸，如舉辦1992在香港，1994在台北，1996在上海，1998在成都之四次台灣、香港、大陸中藥研討會，並主持1994、1996、1998之立夫中醫藥學術獎頒獎典禮。陳教授曾任中醫藥雜誌之主編、教育部學術審議委員，醫學教育委員會委員，兼中醫藥教育召集人。任天然藥物學會理事長六年，並多年為台灣藥理學會之常務理事。
2003年被羅馬尼亞醫學科學院選為榮譽院士，2004年被南京中醫藥大學、青島大學聘為名譽教授，現任中國醫藥研究發展基金會榮譽董事長、志英植物研究發展基金會董事長、國際醫學科學研究基金會董事長、陽明大學藥理學科及研究所教授。
