Ecological momentary assessment

Lab

Professor Ting-Ti Lin is an Associate Professor of Nursing whose research focuses on occupational health, sleep and circadian rhythm, and health behaviors among high-risk working populations. Her work primarily examines how shift work, environmental exposures (e.g., noise), and work-related stressors influence eating behaviors, sleep quality, mental health, and cardiometabolic outcomes, particularly among military personnel, firefighters, and healthcare workers (e.g., nurses). She also applies intensive longitudinal methods, such as ecological momentary assessment (EMA), to investigate dynamic health behaviors, including dietary patterns and thirst-related experiences in patients with chronic conditions (e.g., heart failure). Professor Lin’s research aims to develop evidence-based interventions to improve resilience, promote healthy behaviors, and optimize occupational health in demanding work environments, with broader implications for public health and workforce sustainability.
