Laboratory Overview

The laboratory focuses on the development of novel nanocarrier systems with targeted delivery capabilities, encapsulating a variety of active molecules for applications in anticancer, antibacterial, and imaging agents.
Key advantages and future directions of our nanospheres include:
1. High-yield PLGA nanoparticles via microfluidics: Nanoparticles composed mainly of poly(D,L-lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) are produced with high yield, high drug encapsulation efficiency, uniform particle size distribution, consistent morphology, and reproducibility.
2. Surface modification with positive charges: Positively charged PLGA nanoparticles enhance the delivery efficiency of drugs or imaging agents.
3. Covalent conjugation with HTCC: Extends the positive charge lifespan, increases retention time, and stabilizes the PLGA nanoparticle structure to prevent disassembly or premature release during transport.
4. Biotin coordination via HTCC: Improves the specificity of PLGA nanoparticles for targeting multiple cancer cell types.
