【Mayor of Hachioji City, Japan Visits National Defense Medical University】

A delegation led by Mr. Kazuo Shiyake, Mayor of Hachioji City, Tokyo, Japan, visited National Defense Medical University (NDMU) for academic and professional exchange. The visit was made possible through the longstanding relationship between NDMU and Hachioji Nursing School, with a particular focus on disaster medical education, combat casualty care training, and emergency response systems.

During the visit, the delegation met with our President and learned about NDMU's educational philosophy and institutional development. They also toured key training facilities, including the Combat and Disaster Casualty Care Training Center, gaining firsthand insight into NDMU's approaches to military medicine and disaster preparedness training.

NDMU remains committed to advancing military medicine, disaster medical education, and holistic education. Through exchanges such as this, we look forward to strengthening mutual understanding and contributing together to the health, safety, and resilience of our communities.
