金奈米粒子（gold nanoparticle）是一種安定的奈米金屬材料，其合成方式包含物理或化學製程，應用涵蓋材料、工程、生醫等領域。其生物相容性高且具有特殊光學特性，亦可藉由化學修飾或物理吸附方式，於粒子表面接上抗體、核酸或適體（aptamer），修飾形成功能化之金奈米探針（functionalized gold nanoparticle probe）。

功能化金奈米探針可應用於偵測疾病致病原或其他生醫標的分子，發展簡易、靈敏且專一之感測平台。近年本實驗室陸續結合此類金奈米探針，架構於側流層析紙膜或比色分析法，發展病原偵檢技術，並應用於慢性牙周病致病原牙齦紫質單孢菌檢測與人類多瘤 BK 病毒之監測。

此外，實驗室亦規劃開發金奈米材料綠色合成，以利更廣泛應用於載體或標記分子。非常歡迎對金奈米材料、生醫感測技術與檢測平台開發有興趣的同學加入本實驗室。
