Passing on the Academic Torch

Prof. Chu Hsi-Pin Sustainability Scholarship

Deepening independent research, unlocking infinite possibilities

🌿 Background and Purpose

This scholarship was established through a pioneering donation of NT$1,000,000 by Professor Chu Hsi-Pin (Class P35) of the School of Pharmacy. Prof. Chu's original intention was to set up a "sustainable fund" that preserves its principal, utilizing the annual interest yields to distribute scholarships. This ensures long-term and stable support for the students of the School of Pharmacy. In the future, the fund will continue to accept donations from alumni to expand this spirit of compassion and academic dedication.

🎓 Encouragement for Graduates

This sustainability fund currently features the "Academic Excellence Scholarship for Independent Pharmacy Research." It is specifically awarded to the graduating student of the School of Pharmacy who ranks first in the overall academic performance of "Independent Pharmacy Research" (including Research I, II, and the thesis). The prize amount is NT$10,000. This serves not only as the highest recognition of the students' hard work in the laboratory and dedication to scientific research during their university years, but also as an expectation that graduates will carry this curiosity for the unknown and rigorous research attitude into their future careers or advanced academic pursuits, continuously striving for excellence.
